NEW JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS DIVISION ANNOUNCED
For Immediate Release
League Coordinator Robert Brown announces today that a new 12 and Under
Beginner division will be added to this Summer’s Junior Team Tennis
season. “After polling a couple of our play sites, we found that there is a good
chance of adding a team or two of the young ones”, Brown said. To learn
more about JTT go to sctennis.com to Juniors to “Junior Team Tennis” or call
Brown at 290-2833. Junior Team Tennis, a product of the USTA, pits players in a
team format playing pro-sets where all games are credited to the team’s
overall total. Boy and Girls Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles are played.
The season begins in May and ends in early July. USTA Membership and a
team fee includes coaching, practice sessions, matches, t-shirt and balls.
Hi, would your Association be interested in something that promotes tennis for everyone in a flexible format and getting to player multiple opponents over a 16 week period. I am a tennis professional that has successfully gotten people of the same ability level together and putting them in a situation of playing each other. There are points earned for each match and a winner at the end of the 16 week format. This can be done in singles, doubles, mixed doubles, Junior and Senior formats. Scheduling 1 match per week and having each person/team play 15 others only makes for a really fun time. The schedules are done for you, posted and updated on the internet daily, and each person can see the results at any time. If you are interested please let me know. Sincerely, John
